Other than needing a metric shitload of Olive Oil it went well, I think. I used <a href="www.chow.com">Chow</a> and <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Flavor-Bible-Essential-Creativity-Imaginative/dp/0316118400/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1268759892&sr=8-1-spell">The Flavor Bible</a> to confirm that an Orange/Soysauce/Ginger sauce would be good, and gave Quinoa a try.<br /><br />Turned out delightful.<br /><br />So this morning, I'm working out, like a good unemployed person. I've noticed that the table tilt game is remarkably like the game from that awful Star Trek:TNG episode, but I just realized that the music for the math/hip shake game is rather porny. We now don't buy sandwich bread. Go us! The boy mainly uses ratio and then puts stuff in. I don't know, it's good, and when it gets out of the oven, he brings me a slice with butter. I'm not going to argue or ask any questions.<br /><br />The parents were up this weekend for the niece's baskeball tournament. The first time they've seen the house. Frenzy of cleaning, then calm. I think it went well, except the cats are still pissed.<br /><br />Today's plan:<br /><br />Make the boy some lunch. - done<br />Workout for an hour - done<br />Grocery shopping (did I always go to the store this much?)<br />Finish my book<br />Organize bookshelves to follow library of congress system (I am such a dork)<br />Investigate buying more bookshelves because we're running out of space<br />Be outside some, because it is going to be pretty again.<br /><br />We were outside a little yesterday. After a rousing morning of putting up bookshelves, we went to the KC museum to help out with a Junior League thing, then snuck out early and drove to Atchison, a little town north of here. It's on the Missouri, and it's where Amelia Earhart was born. We started in an unfamiliar area of Kansas City, so we had the magic box tell us where to go.<br /><br />I think the magic box was trying to lure us to the country to kill us. We start out okay, then it tells us to exit the nice big interstate highway. Fine, country roads are delightful. Then it tells us to take a left. Um.... gravel. So we take a left, and about 10 miles of gravel driving through farmland, we hit tarmac again.
